Come and experience a day in the life of a WWII soldier. The soldiers will be
doing drills throughout the day; there will be authentic camping and
blacksmithing in the original blacksmith shop

Town Plant Sale  and Give-Away!
The Town of Dauphin Island is sponsoring a Spring Plant Sale and Give-Away on  
Saturday, March .......... in front of Green Parkand everyone is encouraged to attend. A
number of vendors will be on site offering a variety of specialty items such as
hardwood trees, flowering plants (indoor/outdoor), palms, citrus trees and beach  &
dune vegetation to name just  a few. In addition to the many items that w ill be for sale,
town  representatives will  be    handing out an assortment of FREE trees, plants, sea
oats and more to Dauphin Island residents and property owners (with proper identif
ication) on a first-come-first-served basis.The town will purchase items for the
give-away with proceeds  from  its Environmenta l  Mitigation  Fund  in an ef fort to
enhance the island's natural beauty and environmental  sustainability.   The Plant Sale
is open to the public so be sure to invite your friends and   neighbors!
DI Woman's Club To Host St. Jude's Bike-A-Thon

Saturday. March ---- Registration starts at 8am, ride starts at 8:30am and
concludes at 11:30am and you ore encouraged to participate in this annual
fundraiser sponsored by the DI Woman's Club. So grease those chains. pump
up your tires and head on over to the DI Water & Sewer Office on Alabama
Street that morning to join in the fun. Contact Cissy Nopper at 318-548-4376 for
more info. Hotdogs, drinks and snacks will be provided during and of ter the
event!
Snowbirds Hold Art Exhibit

Snowbirds at the DI Campground ore hosting their 3rd Annual Arts & Crafts
Exhibit on March 4 ---- from 1-4pm and you're invited to see positive evidence
that creativity dosn't hove on age limit! Exhibit categories include (but not
limited to) painting, woodworking , needlework, jewelry and paper arts. In
addition, on­ going demonstrations will be offered throughout the day. The
show will go on rain or shine so join them for a special af ternoon of fun, food
and fellowship.

Join us for "Last Friday Art Night" on March ---- pm - 8 pm at the Dauphin Island
Gallery, 918 Bienville Blvd.  Enjoy local art and history, food, drinks, music and
on art demonstration.  Come socialize with Island residents and visitors--all ore
welcome!  $5 donation per person is requested to help cover   expenses.
"Stirring the Sand"

DIHAC' s Heritage Committee will present the next segment of "Stirring the
Sand", featuring live storytelling about life and culture on Old Dauphin   Island ,
on Thursday, -----at the DI Campground. The event begins at 4 pm with a "meet
and greet" around the camp f ire, followed by storytelling at 5 pm at the
Campground pavilion. Peter Tanner will be the featured storyteller and
members of the audience will be invited to shore their stories of the Island.
Free and open to the public - donations are always welcomed and appreciated!
